Mackenzie Jones

It would be easy to compare Mackenzie’s presence to Joni Mitchell, her allure to Naomi Watts, her work ethic to Edie Falco but all of these would be doing a disservice to Mackenzie. She is, without hesitation or doubt, an asset beyond compare. I invite you to work with her, only then will you get it. Hire her and thank me later.
— Dillon Porter (Bway: The Ritz, Film: Blue Highway, NYC: Dubstep Hamlet, The Dream: Midsummer ‘19)

After growing up in CHICAGO and living in NYC for 8 years, I am excited to be back in the city that raised me.

Since my return….

  • I’ve become an Artistic Associate with American Blues Theatre appearing in various readings and It’s A Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago

  • Worked with Refracted Theatre Company both as an actor and as an Administrative Producer

  • Became one of the founding members of afterdog (a theatrical collective producing devised and immersive theatre)

  • Co-stared in my first feature film, OMRO (recent Best Feature winner at Milwaukee International Film Festival)

  • Booked commercials for large brands such as NERDS and Maytag.

Theatrical reviews have described me as being filled “with wit and beautiful lyricism” (Rutland Herald) a “rags to riches” type talent (Chicago Tribune) and being “lots of fun to hate.” (Cape Gazette)

Let’s face it, humans are weird, the world is weird, and being an artist gives me a chance to celebrate all the intricacies of that existence and explore the relationship between myself and audience.
